The new Maritime SWS Acoustic Guitar is made with solid mahogany back and sides. Generally speaking, mahogany back and sides produce a more mellow sound than other tone woods. This Maritime SWS series Seagull guitar feature a select pressure tested solid spruce top with a custom polished finish. The Seagull Maritime SWS guitar is topped off with a semi-gloss Custom Polished Finish. This finish provides excellent protection but at the same time is extremely light and elastic. This is a crucial point in both the sound of the guitar and its ability to age - a thick finish muffles a guitar's vibration and blocks aging.
